Week 2

I dont know what to tell,. We have class for 9 hours a day, I sit at a desk, not much happens. Ill try my best though because mahal ko kayo!  I am doing great mom, I love it here! There are people from all around the world going all around the world. I met a kid from manilla and he told me that all the gospel words we learned in tagolog like "panananem palataya"( faith)  "ebonhelyo" (gospel)  "pagbabayad - sala" ( atonement)  are not at all used by the Filipinos because they are too long so they just use the English versions. lol

I run into elder Wilde all the time. I just yell things to him and everyone else that I pass in Tagalog because they don't know what I'm saying, its hilarious. like "maganda po kayo." ( you are beautiful)
 Elder Wilde and me

I don't have tons of pictures but I do have lots of hilarious videos on my camera, so I was wondering if you guys could just send me another SD card before I leave on may 24th and Ill send the one I have back home so you guys can pull stuff off of it. The zone that we have come to know and love are leaving this Wednesday, which makes me sad because Ill miss them.  They told me I will be set apart as a zone leader on Sunday to help with the new kids coming in next week.. I will be hosting when Joey comes in so I will look for him for sure. The language is actually coming along very well. I just wish I knew more words so I can converse with people in the language.

We have all these cool photos of us in the prophetees shirts that you sent but I cant send any right now, because at the time I couldn't get any photos with my camera because everyone was taking them with their own cameras. . Also tell Isabelle congrats about the job, and I hope Millie had fun at clear creek, I remember it like it was yesterday. Gene and I were in the same room.

Grandma sent a care package to me that was full of stuff like white cheddar and pepper crackers, smoked almonds and honey mustard gold fish. I made a game of fear factor and made all the kiribas people eat some, it was sooooo funny!  Last saturday was a Tie draft with the kids from Armenia, Thats where you take an ugly tie and put it in a cardboard box. Then put your tag in a separate box. When your name is called you have to pick a tie that you have to wear the whole next day which sucked because I was an usher for the devotional.  So over 900 missionaries saw me wearing it,, lol. it was fun though.

Me wearing my bad tie

Tuesday we got to hear a talk from Dallin H oaks and it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobra mabuti (so good) he talked about how it isn't my mission its God's,  and how we are instruments being used to convey the spirit. I loved it, and him. anyways, I'm getting the kiribas kids to teach me this dance called the 10 chicken dance, I will film myself doing it and send it home. I love you all and hope this email helped more than the last one. sorry today was a really busy Pday. I love you! send me physical pictures though. Like of everyone, the family Amys family the wardies, and even the ones I sent you. I would love that!  And keep sending the funny drawings, those made my day. especially Sydney's. I LOVE YOU ALL

Week 1

Dear friends and family
Holy crap what a week. First shout out to millie, so glad my phone is working fine for you:/
Heres what happened,
Day 1, met two elders and a sister and that was our entire district because the plane full of 8 other missionaries that was supposed to arrive got delayed again... So I became the district leader! We are all hanging, there is Elder Baiar who is white and a really cool guy, he's the brains. Then there is Elder Gatewood who is from hawaii and he is a genuine person, he really reaches out to people and helps them feel better. Then there is Sister Collins who is soooooo funny.  We are in a trio, while escorting a sister, so if one of us has to go somewhere all 4 have to go, kinda sucks. but its good. did prince die?!
Then on the third day we learned basic tagalog and how to pray and testify in it. " ama po namin sa langit, Nagpapasalamat po kami ebonghelyo. ama pangalan sa jesucristo amen.
We met the father of the guy who played Napoleon Dynamite and he was telling us all about that. So our zone has a lot of elders from Kiribas, they are soooooo funny. They are the best people ever. English is their second langauge so they will be studying that.  Some girl hit on them and they said "can you please go away." so great!  We taught them to dab at the temple and we got some awesome pictures.

Everything is going great here, I miss you all. my pdays are on Thursdays and I am in desperate need of a pair of jeans, and an mp3 player because both of my companions snore and I want to put a cactus in my eye every night. We already set up an appointment with an investigator because they just let guests visit here from BYU. Im praying it goes well.

Here is a pic my companion snuck of me sleeping,

This is my disctrict, and us with our branch president who can/t tell a good story to save his life I die when he tells us stories.

A sighting!

Our friends Randy and Julie Reneer spotted Nick on the street corner and shot a video and a pictures and texted it to me! It was so fun, made me cry but also made me happy because he looks happy. He yelled out to them "tell my mom I love her!"
